I stamped her on Crafter's Companion Neenah paper and colored her the same as in one of my previous videos, because I just love her purple hair and teal tail.
I used a home made mask/stencil, I diecut a circle out of some card, which I then positioned on the cardbase.
For my remarkable resist I used Wow! embossing powders:
Golden Flame
primary chartreuse
primary luscious lime
velvet
hot gossip
earthtone mint
As some of the embossing powders are transparent it's
I used all the kelp, seaweeds, corals and the shoals.
I mixed some of the powders together to get an unique look.
I stamped through the mask, but then positioned some of the kelp outside the circle, just for a whimsical look.
For the inkblending I used Distress inks:
tumbled glass, peacock feathers and mermaid lagoon (of course)
I applied it with a mini ink blending tool and splattered on some water for the bubbles effect
After filming I added one more shoal of fishes, you can see it's darker as the background was now blue, I felt it needed more fishies ;-)
Stamped the sentiment from the same Mermazing set with Versafine Onyx black ink.
Mounted the mermaid with foamtape and adhered here to the cardbase.
